I am a new producer and want to provide my clients a good safe investment. My average client is 60 years plus. I am interested in the fixed and indexed annuities. I have been offered a job with a financial company that is a broker who sells cd’s, fixed annuities, IRA’s etc and was told that you have to have very good credit in order to get your license and be appointed by the larger insurance companies whose products you will be selling. If so what sort of items are looking for on your credit report.

My husband and I are retired. Our financial adviser suggested we roll an IRA over into a fixed rate annuity.

What are your views and experiences with annuities?

We are looking for a safe place to roll the IRA over to with high interest. Do you have any suggestions that I can look into?
