Payments Annuity



i have an annuity from a car accident that i contacted jg wentworth to sell. i am going to court next wk?



and they told me once the judge approves it ill have the money in 5 days. now im reading online that they rip people off, what di i do?? or are they just talking about not paying much for the note?

    How these attorneys work with this type of thing is that they end up getting at least half of what you are owed (maybe more) as their fee. For example if you receive 500 a month on a $50,000 annuity, it will be paid off in 8 years. They will “buy” your annuity so you get cash up front, but for 1/2 of it’s value, so you would get $25,000 cash. You should have been asking how much they are going to want for a fee before agreeing to have them represent you.
